A Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) engaged in a Public Private Partnership (PPP) with the National Identification Authority to conceptualize, Design, Build, Co-Finance, Co-operate and Transfer (DBFOT) a National Identification System (NIS) and register for Ghanaians, which provides a digital interface to provide Ghanaian citizens with a one-stop efficient e-government and e-commerce services platform accessible with their digital identity.
The system will provide over 30 million Ghanaian Citizens with a Ghana Card. 18 million Ghanaians over the age of 15 are being issued secure, biometric, multiapplication ICAO, ECOWAS, compliant dual interface, smart Ghana Card to access these services.
An estimated 12 million Ghanaians below the age of 15 will be issued with a 2D biometric card version of the Ghana Card.
